What we collect
The enquiry form collects the name, phone number, job type, suburb and job details you enter. It may also ask why you need the work, the pool and fence type, timing and optional email or address details. Please leave out payment details, identity documents, passwords and unrelated sensitive information.
We retain the exact disclosure shown when you submit, its version and the receipt time. We also record the page, landing page, referring website, campaign tags and basic browser information. A salted hash of the IP address helps detect spam and repeated submissions. Hosting providers may process the IP address in their security systems.
What happens to your request
We collect enquiries to review local demand, and we may contact you about your request, though no response is guaranteed. No certifier or contractor is currently assigned. Submitting does not book work, guarantee a response or authorise marketing messages.
Your details are not sent to a certifier or contractor without your further agreement. If one becomes available, we would explain the proposed recipient and ask for the appropriate agreement before sharing. A certifier or contractor who receives an enquiry that way may pay this website for it. We do not sell enquiries to marketing lists.
Systems and website analytics
Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and device signals to help prevent automated spam. It does not read the job details entered in the form. Requests that cannot be verified may be held for manual review. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cloudflare hosts the website and enquiry system. Operator email alerts contain the details needed to review a request. These services may process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics measure visits and use of the website. Cloudflare also provides website analytics and security services. Job details are not included in analytics events.
Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use the website, such as clicks, scrolling and pages viewed, through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replays. Clarity is set to mask text typed into form fields, so it is not visible in recordings. Microsoft may use first- and third-party cookies and may process this information outside Australia, as described in the Microsoft privacy statement.
Session storage holds the landing page and campaign information while the tab is open. Your browser may also store information used by the analytics services. You can change your browser’s cookie and storage settings.
How long we keep enquiries
Personal details are removed after 12 calendar months from receipt. Non-identifying enquiry records, including the date, site, job type and status, are retained for demand reporting. You can ask for earlier deletion by emailing the address above.
Access, correction and concerns
Email info@nswpoolsafety.com.au to ask about an enquiry, correct your details, request deletion or raise a privacy concern. We may ask for enough information to identify your request safely. We'll look into any privacy concern and reply in writing. If you're not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
We may update this notice as the enquiry service changes. The date above shows its latest revision.
